Indigo blue, royal purple, chocolate brown and rich red dominate the AW24 collection, layered with basic black, camel and grey. In-house premium denim label And/Or, which was launched in March 2017 , placed an emphasis on bohemian and western trends for AW24. The collection is dominated by leather and suede, a key category in womenswear for AW24, executive director Peter Ruis told Drapers, paired with knee-length buckle boots and blue denim in the form of slim flared jeans and button-down skirts and shirts. The use of heavy textiles is contrasted with lightweight frill blouses and a maxi caftan dress for a feminine and romantic feel. The retailer's competitively-priced in-house brand Anyday, which originally included value homeware, technology and nursery products before expanding into fashion in September 2021 , focuses on contemporary workwear, such as waistcoats, loafers, heavy blazers as outerwear and office-appropriate denim. John Lewis director of design for fashion, Queralt Ferrer , said: "We have reimagined our staple pieces, such as our cult classic John Lewis cashmere crew-neck jumpers, with playful proportions, asymmetric lines, and androgynous shapes. "Layers of luxury have been injected into our John Lewis range with the introduction of the alpaca cape cardigan, adding a touch of elegance and warmth to our collection; Anyday continues to push the boundaries with asymmetrical tailoring and contemporary design, while And/Or’s showcases updated DNA, with denim taking the centre stage, featuring new to this season patchwork slim flare jeans, denim utility skirt and oversized denim shacket."
