UKHotViews UK AI and Decision intelligence scale up Quantexa announced that it will invest an additional £125m in the global artificial intelligence (AI) industry over the next three years, including £85m in dedicated UK investment, creating 170 new jobs as it opens a new London AI Innovation Center. Quantexa was founded in 2016 and is led by CEO Vishal Marri with an existing customer base that includes BNY Mellon, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Vodafone, and The Public Sector Fraud Authority in the UK Cabinet Office. The company has been rapidly raising investment funding in the past few years as it seeks to establish itself as one of the key UK providers of Data analytics and AI solutions. In April, the firm raised a further $129m in Series E funding, valuing the firm at $1.8bn (See Quantexa valued at $1.8bn ), they also acquired Aylien in March, a Dublin based natural language processing (NLP) and AI company, See - Quantexa acquires AI and NLP startup Aylien . As well as its investment in UK AI innovation, Quantexa also previewed its Generative AI technology, Q-Assist. Q-Assist will allow business users to query big data, both structured and unstructured, using natural language inputs. It is LLM agnostic which will means organisations can use their own proprietary, open source, or commercially available models including ChatGPT. The company intends for the tool to empower analysts to carry out investigations at a high skill level. In a brief demo, it highlighted one scenario of how Q-Assist can be used for financial crime investigation, using natural language to query vast amounts of structured and unstructured data at scale and automate the generation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and investigative summaries - in close to 100 languages - driving further efficiency in what is typically a manually intensive process.
