Oct. 24, 2024 With the global bubble tea market projected to reach $5.49 billion by 2031 , it makes sense that 86% of college students have expressed a desire to see boba milk tea added to their campus dining options, according to a recent survey by beverage company Botrista , "Boba tea has gone from a niche beverage to a mainstream favorite, especially with students who crave unique, flavorful, and customizable options," Sean Hsu, CEO at Botrista, said in a company press release. "Our partnership with colleges and universities enables campuses to tap into this growing trend and meet the high demand for boba while maintaining efficient, cost-effective operations." Dartmouth College in New Hampshire was one of those colleges, recently tapping Botrista to install a Boba tea venue. "As the fall seasons change, students are enjoying a variety of trending flavors as a quick treat in between classes," Jon Plodzik, director of dining at Dartmouth College, said in the release. "They have been exceptional in their support to us from the very beginning to our launch. Botrista makes it easy." Eric Blackledge, executive director of campus dining and shops at New York's University of Buffalo had a similar experience. "We love giving students the options they crave," he said in the release.
