Google Ventures, now called GV, has invested in nearly 1,100 startups since its inception in 2009. The CVC invests in 4 focus areas: consumer, enterprise, frontier tech, and life sciences. GV declares that it “operates on long time horizons and deals in decades — not rounds.” But it can’t execute that long-term, future-focused strategy alone.
Over the years, the CVC has built a trusted network of investment firms — including Y Combinator, Sequoia Capital, and Accel — that it calls on to drive deal flow throughout the venture lifecycle.
