Orca Security to expand across ANZ for cloud security By Staff Writer on Oct 16, 2024 4:30PM Avi Shua, Orca Security Cloud security vendor Orca Security has announced a major expansion across the Australia and New Zealand markets driven by growing regional demand for enhanced cloud protection. The company has relocated its chief innovation officer and co-founder Avi Shua to Australia from Israel to support the expansion. The move comes as Orca reports more than 100 per cent year-over-year growth in its ANZ customer base. "With chief executives and boards more attuned to the business criticality of cybersecurity, CISOs must understand and prioritise their organisations' cyber risks and proactively strengthen their security postures," said Shua. The Australian cloud computing market is projected to reach $1.68 billion in revenue by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 16.1 per cent from 2024-2030, according to Grand View Research. The partnership will enhance Wavelink's managed security service provider and reseller partners' capabilities to protect organisations from cyber threats. "Orca Security is a technology-leading agentless cloud security solution that meets the speed and scalability demands of cloud environments and we're excited to partner with them as they expand in ANZ," Michael Fisher, sales manager for emerging vendors at Wavelink, said. The company's partner-first strategy has already resulted in increased deal registrations and more partners closing business with Orca. A new partner portal has been introduced to streamline the partner experience by providing access to sales and marketing resources, training modules and support tools. The portal includes enhanced deal registration processes, personalised dashboards and advanced analytics for tracking performance. Orca's platform uses patented SideScanning technology and a unified data model to provide comprehensive coverage and visibility of cloud security risks. The system allows enterprises to identify and remediate risks quickly to maintain business security. The company's solution covers cloud workloads, AI models, configurations and identities to ensure digital assets are continuously protected. "Orca Security's value is unique by providing enterprises clear, precise and actionable visibility into all risks across their cloud estates," said Shua.
